Compress Image

Compress images with a REST API

Picnie compresses images through the Compress Image API and a browser batch tool. You send a public image URL, a project id, a quality value and an output format. There is no SDK and no single call that also resizes or removes the background.

Compress Image

POST /compress-image

  • Authorization header with your API key
  • Formats: Batch Compression accepts JPG and PNG. The compress tool also lists WEBP, up to 25 MB and 25 megapixels per file.
  • Limit: Batch Compression accepts about 100 images per run, 25 MB each. Folder and ZIP uploads are not supported as input. The API example compresses one image.
