The Dhammapada
The Dhammapada is a collection of teachings attributed to the Buddha, and is considered one of the most important texts in the Theravada Buddhist tradition. It consists of 423 verses grouped into 26 chapters, and covers a wide range of topics such as mindfulness, morality, wisdom, and meditation.
The word Dhammapada is derived from two Pali words: dhamma, meaning "teaching" or "truth," and pada, meaning "foot" or "verse." Thus, the Dhammapada can be translated as "The Path of Truth" or "The Footsteps of the Dharma."
The mind is everything. What you think you become.
Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.
Happiness is not something ready-made. It comes from your own actions.
Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth.
We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think. When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves.
Thousands of candles can be lit from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared.
Work out your own salvation. Do not depend on others.
Do not overrate what you have received, nor envy others. He who envies others does not obtain peace of mind.
To be idle is a short road to death and to be diligent is a way of life; foolish people are idle, wise people are diligent.

Buddhism is a major world religion that originated in ancient India and is based on the teachings of Buddha. It is estimated that there are over 500 million Buddhists worldwide, making it one of the largest religions in the world.
Buddhism emphasizes the importance of spiritual development and the attainment of enlightenment, which is achieved through the practice of mindfulness, meditation, and the Eightfold Path. The Four Noble Truths, a central tenet of Buddhism, state that suffering exists, that suffering arises from craving and attachment, that suffering can be overcome, and that the path to the end of suffering is the Eightfold Path.
The only way to do great work is to love what you do.
In the end, only three things matter: how much you loved, how gently you lived, and how gracefully you let go of things not meant for you.
The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing.
It is better to travel well than to arrive.
Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.
In separateness lies the worlds great misery, in compassion lies the worlds true strength.
Work out your own salvation. Do not depend on others.
Peace comes from within. Do not seek it Outside.
The mind is everything. What you think, you become.
